Maintain Water Pressure without Contamination Concerns

The automatic filling valve consists of numerous devices, including a pressure-reducing valve with compensating seat, a visual system pressure-setting indicator, an inlet filter, anti-scale internal parts, a shut-off valve (round knob on the bottom) and a check valve. When properly installed on a water inlet pipe in a sealed heating system, it maintains the system's pressure at a set value and automatically fills with water when necessary. The pre-adjustable valve can be set to a specific pressure before the system-charging phase.

Once installed, the water feed stops when the valve reaches the set pressure during filling or topping-off. With no levers to flip or valves to close, this valve fills 50 percent faster than other valves.

When pre-assembled with the 573 series backflow preventer, the AutoFill features an atmospheric vent that protects drinking water systems from the return flow of contaminated fluids caused by back pressure or back-siphoning.
