With its exceptionally high discharge capacity, Caleffi's DISCAL 551 Series air separator continuously removes air found in hydronic circuits of heating and cooling systems. Each air separator's specially shaped internal separator body removes all air down to the micro-bubble level (with minimal head loss) contained in a system. As they fuse, the micro-bubbles gain volume until they are large enough to float to the top for automatic release.

The DISCAL air separator allows bi-directional flow while completely de-aerated water enables equipment to function under peak conditions - no corrosion, localized or mechanicalized damage, or noise. Note: Not for use in plumbing applications as it does not conform with the low-lead plumbing requirements of the United States and Canada.
